Govt announces state-wide coaching camps from June 1

After lying dormant for several months, the State Sports and Youth Services Department came alive by making an announcement to conduct of a state-wide non-residential coaching programme for under-16 boys and girls from June 1 to 15. Coaching camps in 10 disciplines will take place at 35 places in all the 30 districts, the State Directorate of Sports and Youth Services said today. The State Government’s sport promotion activities had come to a halt in recent times due to the absence of the concerned minister as well as the director. However, after Praveen Bhanjadeo and Prasanna Pradhan took charge as the new Sports Minister and Sports Director respectively, the government seemed to have resumed its activities from the coaching camps.
